And just like that, August is over.
I don't know about you, but I always seem to have a running list of cruise questions floating around in my head. Is that upgrade actually worth paying for? Am I missing some little trick everyone else already knows? And how much of the stuff we spend money on onboard do we really need?
August was the month I decided to investigate a few of them.
We talked about the cabin some cruisers swear by, whether cruise Wi-Fi is finally worth the price, one simple buffet habit I wish more people knew about, and whether it's actually possible to spend an entire sea day without spending another dollar.
So, if you missed one along the way, here's your chance to catch up.
It's Here: Pique's New Caffeine-Free Afternoon Energy
I quit my afternoon coffee. Not because I wanted to — because I found something better.
You know that wall you hit every day around 2–3 PM? I used to just accept it as the cost of doing anything. Another coffee, a quick spike, then the crash — and somehow I'd still feel dehydrated by dinner.
Then I tried X·E Fountain, Pique's brand-new electrolyte energy drink, and I genuinely wasn't ready for how good "no crash" could feel.
No caffeine jitters. No 4 PM slump. Just clean, steady energy that actually hydrates me instead of draining me. It's built with a premium Vitamin B Complex for natural cellular energy, Magnesium Malate + Taurate for real focus, and a full electrolyte blend that makes it feel like a treat, not a chore.
The cucumber-celery-lime flavor is so crisp and refreshing — it's basically stolen my afternoon coffee slot completely.
No balcony.
No window.
Not even a tiny porthole.
So why do some cruisers keep choosing interior cabins?
Because sometimes the cabin with the least impressive view can leave a whole lot more money in your vacation budget.
In this issue we looked at why an inside cabin might be a much better choice than you think, especially if you're the kind of cruiser who spends most of the day anywhere BUT your cabin.
Remember when cruise ship Wi-Fi was painfully slow AND painfully expensive?
Things have changed.
Internet service at sea has improved considerably on many ships, but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone needs to pay for it.
In this issue we looked at when cruise Wi-Fi might actually be worth the money and when you might be better off disconnecting for a few days.
Because maybe "no service" isn't always a bad thing when you're on vacation.

You've entered the cruise buffet.
Your first instinct?
Grab a plate.
Not so fast.
In this issue we talked about why taking one quick lap around the buffet BEFORE loading your plate can save you from discovering something much better approximately 30 seconds after you've run out of room.
Plus, four more simple ways to make the cruise buffet experience a little better.
Dessert strategy included.
Could you spend an entire sea day without spending one extra dollar?
That means walking past the specialty coffee.
Ignoring the shops.
Skipping the casino.
Saying no to specialty dining.
And somehow maintaining your composure when a frozen margarita passes your lounge chair.
In this issue, we took on the $0 Cruise Day Challenge and looked at just how much food, entertainment and relaxation you've already paid for with your cruise fare.
Turns out, having a great day onboard doesn't necessarily require opening your wallet.
🛍️ Amazon Find of the Month
Here's one of those little cruise accessories that you don't really think about until you're standing there with a printed paper luggage tag wondering:
I'm supposed to trust THIS with my suitcase?
Instead of stapling or taping the paper tag directly around your luggage handle, reusable cruise luggage tag holders let you slide the printed tag into a clear protective sleeve and secure it to your suitcase with a metal loop.
They're especially handy because you can pack the holders ahead of time and attach your cruise tags when you're ready to head to the port.
Just make sure you choose the correct size for your cruise line, since printed luggage-tag dimensions aren't identical across every line.
🚢 And That's August!
Cabin choices.
Wi-Fi decisions.
Buffet strategy.
And one determined attempt to keep the cruise card safely tucked away for an entire day.
Not a bad month at sea.
